
Puffed German Apple Pancakes
6 eggs
1cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1/2tsp salt
3med apples,peeled,cored,and sliced
1/4cup freshly squeezed lemon juice,divided
4tbsp.butter
1/4cup.dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp.cinnamon
Warmed maple syrup
With a whisk or egg beater; mix together eggs,milk,flour,and salt.Toss the apple slices with 2 tablespoons lemon juice.Melt the butter in a 13x9 inch baking dish or a 12 inch quiche dish in a preheated 425 degree oven.Remove dish from oven and immediately pour batter over appples.Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon;spirnkle over batter.Bake for 20 minutess or until puffed and browned.Remove from ovwn and drizzile remaing 2 tablespoon of lemon juice over the top of the pancake.Served with warmed maple syrup Serves 6.1i/2 times this recipe wil fit into 9x13 inch glass oblong pan.Serves 8 generuosly
French Breakfast Puffs- Eat and Faint!..lol..
3 cups flour
3tsp baking powder
1tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1cup sugar
2/3 cup shortening( I used crisco and taste better)
2 eggs
1 cup milk
Coating:
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Lightly grease 12 muffin cups. Stir togher flour,bakign powder,salt,and nutmeg.Set aside.In a different bowl, cream together I cup sugar and shortening,than add eggs and mix.Add flor mixture and milk alternately to creamed mixture, beating well after each additoin.Filled muffin cups 2/3 full.In separate bowl combine remaining sugar and cinnamon.Dip baked muffins in butter,coating throughly,than coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture.Seriously EAT and FAINT.
That's how good it tasted.Cabriel and I are taking some to this old lady in a our ward, who we always helped, whenever she needed a hand.We just adore her.She's very lonely old beautiful lady and most of her kids live far away from her.So Cabriel and I always takes her with us.
